These terms explain the rules for using Equitly. They are written in plain language, so please read them.
By downloading, opening or playing Equitly, on the app or at equitly.ca, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Equitly.
Equitly is an educational game that teaches the basics of investing. Nothing in it is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Before making real money decisions, do your own research and think about talking to a qualified professional.
All money, companies, stock prices, news, players and results in Equitly are made up. They are not real and don't predict real markets. Doing well in Equitly doesn't mean you will do well with real investments, and past results never guarantee future ones.
You are responsible for any real investing or money decisions you make. Equitly and its creators are not responsible for any losses or other results from decisions you make, whether or not they were based on something you learned in the game.
We work hard to keep the lessons clear and correct, but investing rules, taxes and accounts differ between countries and change over time. Some lessons simplify things on purpose. We can't promise that everything is complete, correct or up to date for where you live.
Please use Equitly for personal learning. Don't copy, sell, or redistribute the app or its content, try to break or interfere with it, or use it for anything illegal.
Equitly, its name, logo, lessons, artwork and code belong to Equitly's creators. You may use the app for your own learning, but these terms don't give you ownership of any of it.
Your progress is saved only on your own device. If you delete the app, clear your browser data or change devices, your progress may be lost, and we can't recover it. Our privacy policy explains how information is handled.
Equitly is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will always work, be free of errors, or be available. To the fullest extent the law allows, Equitly's creators are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, from using or not being able to use Equitly.
If you got Equitly from the Apple App Store or Google Play, their own terms also apply. Apple and Google are not responsible for Equitly or its content.
We may update Equitly and these terms from time to time. If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date above. Continuing to use Equitly after a change means you accept the new terms.
